A woman working in asset/wealth management who has gone out of her way to support the cause of getting more women and diverse groups of people into the industry in the last 2-years. As well as examining the initiatives the candidates has pioneered to inspire women and diverse talent to succeed in asset/wealth management, judges will also assess their leadership and the initiative’s impact on, and integration with, the business.

Ally of the Year

A senior figure who has gone out of their way to improve the diversity levels within financial services, within the organisation and/or in the wider community. Successful nominations must provide case studies or examples of how the candidate has gone out of their way, or strategically prioritised, getting more diversity of talent into the industry/organisation and supporting them in their careers.

Bond Manager of the Year

This category is open to a woman who is either a portfolio manager or plays an active role through research/analysis in US domestic bond markets; global and sovereign bond; or specialist fixed income (e.g. credit US mortgage-backed securities). This individual can either be involved in a publicly available fund such as a mutual fund, or an institutional portfolio. Portfolio performance statistics can be included but judges will also be looking for evidence of challenges faced and overcome by the nominees.

DEI Initiative of the Year

This award will be presented to a project or initiative that has had demonstrable success in improving the recruitment, on-boarding, development and/or progression, networks and inclusion of underrepresented talent. This may be a digital technology driven initiative or project that has improved communication, engagement and support and removed a significant barrier to change affecting diverse talent. Submissions must include the name of the initiative or project.

This award is open to those women who can demonstrate that their investment decisions have been consistently made in an ethical and responsible way, while achieving healthy returns for their clients. Things to include in the submission are their definition of ESG and how that impacts their fund selection. As ESG is an evolving process, submissions relating to the growing role of ESG within an organisation are also welcomed.
