This year’s male ally of the year has actively participated in DE&I initiatives by acting as a mentor in the Triple FS – the Female Fast Forward in Financial Services cross-organisation mentoring programme. This is an action-focused initiative developed by multiple organisations with the singular goal of increasing female leadership in the financial services industry across Ireland. The programme matches high potential woman, who are preparing to step into a leadership role, with successful leaders from other Financial Services organisations. Our nominee was selected as one of these influential leaders to provide support. His passion for accelerating the pace of change has led to him taking targeted action to level the playing field for women in the industry. He is also a mentor, advocate and spokesperson for programmes developed by the 30% Club. Further to his activities outside the organisation, he is also the head coach for the GAA girls team. This ally has demonstrated great efforts towards equality and inclusion both in and outside of the workplace and is doing his best to make a difference in all arenas. He is an example for others, and we take this opportunity to appeal to all our allies – support your colleagues and help us really accelerate change across the financial services industry.
